Consideraciones sobre la denominación de “Enfermedad de Ayerza”.

In 1901 Argentinian physician Abel Ayerza (1861-1918) lectured on the syndrome of chronic cyanosis, dyspnoea, erythremia, and sclerosis of the pulmonary artery, “Ayerza’s disease” (cor pulmonale). He did not publish this work, but an important discussion on the nomenclature was given by Luis Ayerza in the above paper, and in a previous paper in the same journal, 1925, 32,pt. 1, 43.
