"An annual publication of the Scientific-Humanitarian Committee (Wissenschaftlich-humanitäres Komitee, WhK), an early LGBT rights organization founded by Magnus Hirschfeld in 1897. The periodical featured articles on scientific, literary, and political topics related to sexual and gender minorities. Hirschfeld's institute was closed by the Nazis in 1933; they also destroyed the research library of his institute.
